Understanding Emotional Balance

EQUILIBRIUM PROJECT

PROJECT
Understanding Emotional Balance

What is Equilibrium?

Equilibrium is the space where our inner forces find balance.

It is the moment when anger, envy, pride, and other struggles stop working against us and begin to reveal what they are trying to teach.

Rather than judging these emotions, Equilibrium invites us to understand them —
to see the fear behind anger,
the desire behind envy,
the fragility behind pride.

Like sculpture, it is a process of shaping.
What begins rough or chaotic can become clear and meaningful when we pay attention.

Equilibrium is not perfection.
It is the ongoing work of standing steady in ourselves —
not because we are flawless, but because we are learning to hold our light and shadow with honesty.

Project Statement

This project was born in silence — the same silence where every sculpture begins.

Here, the hand does not command; it listens.
And in that listening, a dialogue emerges: shadow speaking to light, vice revealing its hidden virtue, the human spirit showing both its wounds and its resilience.

Equilibrium is not a moral lesson.
It is a human map — tracing how we fall, how we rise, and how meaning is carved from the rough stone of experience.
Each work reflects a movement of the inner world: the moment anger becomes courage, the instant envy becomes direction, the quiet humility that softens pride into truth.

In these forms, transformation is the thread.
What begins in fracture becomes clarity; what begins in resistance becomes grace.

Art, as the book reminds us, “when shared, becomes an act of service.”
This project is an offering —
to the seeker of balance, to the wounded turning toward healing, to the spirit learning the weight and lightness of being human.

Inspiration & Concept

The inspiration for Equilibrium rises from the tension that shapes all human experience

— the fire that guards the wound, the mirror that wounds itself, the tower built on air.

Each vice carries a story, a lesson, a hidden longing.

Rather than condemning these impulses, the project listens to them.
Anger reveals a cry for protection.
Envy uncovers forgotten desire.
Pride exposes the fragility behind the mask of height.
Their transformation is the heart of the concept:
to witness how destructive force becomes creative force when met with awareness.

The sculptures embody this passage.
A crack becomes a path.
A distortion becomes expression.
A fracture becomes a new center of gravity.

As the artist writes, “Creation demands passion —awareness of the impulse.”
The material teaches the concept: stone does not bend for haste or ego; it opens only to presence.
Every chisel mark is a question:
What does this form want to reveal?
What truth lies beneath the resistance?

Equilibrium is the art of transmuting inner conflict into form —
a poetic geometry of the human spirit, where each opposing force becomes part of a greater harmony.
